Ilkay Can-Standard
Founder/CEO
Ilkay Can-Standard, Founder of GENx, brings 20 years of experience in architecture and technology. Through international assignments, she identified recurring challenges in project stages and integrates cutting-edge tools inspired by aerospace and manufacturing. Leading diverse teams in New York/New Jersey and Istanbul/Ankara, Ilkay is committed to revolutionizing design and construction. As the Chair of CTBUH NY and an adjunct professor at NYU, her pride lies in contributing to academia, nurturing the next generation, and actively engaging in industry feedback and research on job sites to continually strengthen her capabilities.
Can (John) Gazioglu
Operations Manager
Can is an experienced, tech-savvy professional specializing in large-scale capital projects and programs across public and private sectors, with expertise spanning the full project lifecycle — from planning and design through construction and decommissioning. At GenX, Can leads business development and growth, develops services, and shapes operational and strategic direction for the firm. He focuses on positioning GenX to take on complex, high-impact engagements while building the internal capabilities to support them. Can holds PMP, LEED AP BD+C, and NYC DOB certifications, bringing technical depth and hands-on expertise to every project and client relationship.
Fethiye Yildiz
Business Manager
Fethiye Yıldız, Business Manager at GENx, brings a multidisciplinary background in medical research, operations, and communication. She combines a research-driven mindset with a strong focus on structured processes and efficient project delivery. At GENx, she manages projects and teams across Türkiye and Europe, leading business development, team assembly, and cross-border coordination. Fethiye plays a key role in aligning international teams and ensuring seamless execution, contributing to GENx’s mission of redefining collaboration and driving innovation in the AEC industry.
